Education: Howard University (BS Microbiology), Emory University School of Medicine (MD)

Dr. Gena Albert has been a pediatrician in the Athens area for over two decades. She has been actively involved in multiple community projects designed to increase education to improve the overall health of children. As a lifelong avid reader, she is a strong advocate of early childhood literacy and achievement. Dr. Albert is currently a practicing general pediatrician and a Regional Medical Director for Pediatrics (Athens Area) for Piedmont Physician Services. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a current member of the Athens, GA chapter of the Links, Inc. and a past member/officer of the Athens Area chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She currently resides in (Watkinsville)Oconee County, GA with her husband, Warren. They have two adult children.
